Mind Travels: New Work by Karen Watkins

Hi! This is the official announcement for my show at Valkarie Gallery in Lakewood, Colorado (A Denver neighborhood). I will be a guest artist at Valkarie October 3rd to the 28th. The opening where I will be present starts 5 pm and ends at 9:30 pm on October 5th. I will be calling my exhibition "Mind Travels: New Work by Karen Watkins". Preview Show

I will have two paintings at Valkarie Gallery's preview show this month near Denver. The reception is 5pm to 8:30pm on January 20th. All the artists that will have a solo exhibit at Valkarie this year will be in this sneak peak show. My solo show will be in October. More about my show soon. Here are my two paintings that will be in the preview show. "Discovered" and "The Move".

Wishlist Group Show

This is my Felted piece "Alicorn" for "Wishlist" a group show at Speakeasy Gallery in New Jersey. The artists were to make 3D art of Children's designs of their ideal toy. The drawing is below my piece and is by Chloe A.

The Anarchy Girls

These are samples from my paintings for my solo show "The Anarchy Girls" that will be at my gallery Carl Bork and Karen Watkins Studio Gallery at 149 W 1st Street Salida, Colorado on April 9th starting at noon and the reception is at 6pm. Tee and Cakes 2014

Continuing the November tradition at Tee and Cakes in Boulder, Colorado I am having my 6th art show there right now. If you are in the area get some treats and see my new work there all November. Plus my new Mountain Goats and Red Fox Window Paintings are at Tee and Cakes as well.

Art Show at Elevation Beer Company

I am having a solo art show at Elevation Beer Co. starting Monday July 7th to July 31st. Elevation is in Poncha Springs, Colorado. Stop by and see some of my new work and have one of their great beers if you will be in the area.

Group Show at Howl Galley/Tattoo

I have two paintings in a show in Fort Myers, Florida at Howl Gallery/Tattoo called "Untitled - A Group Show" beginning June 7th. The two paintings in the show are "No Trespassing" and "Rise Above".

Art Show at Currents

I have many of my painting on display at Currents Restaurant http://www.salidacurrents.com/ in downtown Salida, Colorado. If you are in the area please stop by and check out the work and I highly recommend ordering some dinner at Currents as well. They are one of the best restaurants in town. The paintings will be on display until the middle of April.
