Good bye January. For the last day of this winter month my Sketch of the Week is a miner robot.

"There Will be Snacks" Painting

This is my first large painting for 2010 called "There will be Snacks". I actually started this painting in the summer of 2009 but had to stop working on it for awhile to work on other things. So I finished it this January. I am pretty sure it will be at my show at The Shoppe in Denver. More details about that show soon. It is acrylic on 18" by 24" canvas.

Pabst Blue Ribbon Art Show

This next weekend Illiterate and Indy Ink in Denver are having a Pabst Art Show displaying art based on Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. The Pabst Art Show is a nation wide event! Grand prize is $1893, and a year supply of Pabst Blue Ribbon for four winners. Please come down if you are in the area to see Carl and I's pieces for the show this Saturday.

This drawing is my last sketch from my 2009 sketchbook. Now on to my 2010 sketchbook. Just a few fish this week. I am trying to work on some new ideas for small paintings.
